What about your skin?

Summer is almost here and everyone is going crazy about getting their bikini body ready.

But what about your skin? Is it ready for summer time?

If you haven't thought about it, it's the right time to do so.

Here you have 5 steps to go in the right direction:

1. Drink water 

H2O should be your best friend, specially during summer. 

Water is a natural detoxifier and will help you flush impurities out of your body. Besides keeping you hydrated, it "moisturises" your skin and gives you that flawless look you have been looking for.

2.Eat fruits & vegetables

Vitamins A, C and E are antioxidants which give you a full, bright and tight skin. 

3. Exfoliate

find a nice exfoliant and make magic happen. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells which gives you a clearer and smoother skin (and that nice glow we all dream about!)

4. Hydrate

 Get that awesome mask you have been thinking about and allow yourself a few minutes of pleasure while taking care of your skin. (1-2x/week)

5. Sunscreen

 this is probably the most important step. Apply and reapply every single day! SPF 15 is the minimum factor to protect you from UVA and UVB rays.

Remember:

It's very important to take care of your skin no matter which year season it is.

Keep in mind that sun can be dangerous so you must protect yourself. 

A beautifully tanned skin doesn't have to mean put yourself in danger.

Now, enjoy your hot, sunny days and make lots of new memories!

E a tua pele?

O Verão está mesmo aí à porta e nos últimos tempos toda a gente tem andado a correr para o ginásio. Afinal, todos queremos aquele corpo de sonho para desfilarmos os nossos biquínis pela praia.

Mas e a nossa pele? Estará pronta para os dias de verão? 

Se ainda não pensaram nisso, está mais do que na altura de o fazer.

Aqui têm 5 passos para ficarem com uma pele mais bonita este verão:

1. Beber água 

 A água é um desintoxicador natural uma vez que nos ajuda a eliminar todas a impurezas do corpo. Na verdade ela devia ser a vossa melhor amiga, especialmente durante o verão.  Para além de nos manter hidratados, a água ajuda-nos a ficar com aquele aspecto "perfeito" e saudável que tanto desejamos.

2. Comer fruta e vegetais

As vitaminas A, C e E são antioxidantes. O consumo deixa-nos com uma pele mais bonita e mais luminosa. 

3. Esfoliar

Procurem um bom esfoliante e deixem a magia acontecer.
A esfoliação remove as células mortas da pele e os benefícios são uma pele mais limpa e mais suave, com aquele brilho que todos/as temos andado à procura!

4. Hidratar

Para além da água, fazer uma a duas máscaras por semana ajuda a hidratar da pele enquanto podem aproveitar para relaxar.

5. Protecção solar

Este é o passo mais importante de todos!
 Usem e abusem do protector solar. Apliquem-no todos os dias e repitam a acção ao longo do dia. O FPS 15 é o factor mínimo que devem utilizar para se protegerem contra os raios UV.

Lembrem-se:

É muito importante tomarmos conta da nossa pele independentemente da estação do ano. 

Tenham sempre em mente que o sol pode ser perigoso portanto protejam-se.

Uma pele bronzeada não tem de ser significado de perigo.

Agora, aproveitem bem esses dias de sol e calor. Divirtam-se. Façam grandes e novas memórias!

Clarisonic - yes or no?

Hello sunshines!

In exactly 13 days I'll be 20 years old and with it I noticed how badly I have been treating my skin.

Besides a "not always healthy" diet, I actually have never had a skin routine to which I'd stick to. 

I do use a moisturiser and sometimes it comes that I exfoliate my face but nothing more. 

I reckon I've been waiting for it just to be ok as time goes by. 

But guess what... It doesn't.

That's why I have been thinking about getting a Clarisonic Cleansing System.

Clarisonic is an America based company known for their skin care products, which have won beauty awards such as Allure - Best of Beauty or InStyle - Best Beauty Buys.

There are 4 Cleansing Systems beiMia 2, Aria and PLUS

Each one of these has its own functions (you can learn more about it here) and of course prices variate from one to another.

There are different cleansers and brushes that can we can buy depending on what our skin needs or its type.

I'm still trying to figure out which one I should get, being Aria and PLUS my favourites.
(I have to confess that PLUS is tempting since it can be used for the body too!)

KIKO & I

Let me tell you a little story....

Two years ago my best friend Ana called me, very excited, tolet me know she'd found the best place in the world. 
The place where dreams come true and the magic happens... 
KIKO Cosmetics.

At first, I thought she was going crazy (sorry bichito!) but then...

 I visited KIKO for the first time and I knew that moment would change my life.  

(Ok... Maybe not my life but my savings for sure!) 

  Kiko is an Italian professional cosmetics brand founded in 1997 and has more than 600 stores in 8 countries (Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Germany, United Kingdom, Austria and Switzerland). 

If you don't live in one of this countries, you still can get KIKO products since they ship to 34 other countries. 

 Unfortunately, I don't have a store close to me so every time I fly home (Portugal for those who don't know) or any place where KIKO is, I take the opportunity to buy some products that I have previously seen on their site. 

 The greatest thing about KIKO is that you get quality products for a very reasonable price. 

My first acquisition was the Ultimate Pen, a black eyeliner. 

It's not super black, which is perfect for makeup beginners, and it won't budge. 
The thing about it is that it will vanish a few hours after the application but besides it the Ultimate Pen is great as an everyday eyeliner.

 

 I think I have never talked about it but I have a thing for lipsticks. I can't go out without wearing it. Being the addicted I am, I had to try theirs.

BOOM BLUSH!

 When I saw this stick blush, I knew I had to buy it and give it a chance to surprise me. 
Easy to use, this particular colour leaves a very beautiful brown/dark pink shade on your cheeks and, personally, I think it gives a dramatic final touch on your make up which I found lovely. 

Last but not least my white eye pencil. 
I think we all know the effect a white pencil has on our eyes. 
They will look bigger and brighter. 
I have tried a few before but this one has been my favourite so far.

 

01 - Taupe White - Refined

I think it was a limited edition because I can't find it on their site anymore.

 I'm no expert on make up but I think I can recognise quality when I see it. 
 So, if you haven't given KIKO a chance yet, think about it.... Maybe you'll fall for it too!
