Who said hoodies aren't fancy?

21:35:00

Bonsoiiiiir mes poulets!

Hoodies...

Hoodies aren't mean to be fashionable, right?
I thought so too...

I usually wear them in the gym or at home because, I mean, they make you feel so comfortable and warm!

To be honest, I couldn't picture myself wearing a hoodie for school (or even to go shopping!).

But today was the day I proved myself that a sweatshirt is actually very versatile and can look quite stylish.

I had so much fun putting this outfit together... literally!
(I even searched for "How to wear a hoodie and still look good" on the internet.)

I wore my old black jeans and my faux fur coat to make the outfit a little bit chicer and (kinda) fade out the sport style.

To make things more interesting I put my bordeaux boots on and added some accessories like
this messenger bag (which has the same colors as the rest of the outfit!)

my black gloves and this lovely earrings!

I don't have any idea how to classify this outfit... Any idea?

Let me know what you think!

oh, and always remember to have fun with fashion and style!

Love,
Raquel

Just a little bit of motivation

21:45:00

Salut mes amoooooooours!

Everyone has bad days.
Yes, those days that make you think "I should have stayed in bed all day!".
I am no exception. I am doing my best to become a more positive person but sometimes it's not possible.

Last week wasn't very easy and with a new week kicking off in a few hours,
I felt the need to share a small motivational post with you!

So mes fleurs...
stay positive, smile a lot.
 Laugh.
Love.
Make the difference and never give up on what you want.
Everything is possible!

Remember to be awesome!

Love,
Raquel

New year doesn't mean a totally new "me"!

23:05:00

Bonsoir mes amours!

Before starting this post let me wish you

a very happy 2015!

or how I would say in French
 Une très bonne année 2015!

You all know what comes along with a fresh new year ...

Yes, new year's resolution!

I have decided what mine would be not on the 1st, not the 2nd but on the 11th day of the year and decided I wanted to share it with you.

So... Here we go:

1. Look after myself

Since I can remember I love helping those who are around me... what makes me forget about myself sometimes.
It doesn't mean I will become a really bad person and stop worrying about others.
It means I'll worry about myself a bit more.
I will think a bit more about making myself happy as well as doing others.

2. Take care of my mind and body

This is the year!
This will be the year I will become a healthier person.
This is the year I will get the body shape I want.
This is the year I will learn to stay calm and zen.
Yes, this the year I will change my lifestyle!

3. Travelling, travelling and more travelling

I want to travel more, much more and get to know the amazing world we live in.
It doesn't mean I'll travel around the entire world but I definitely want to go to amazing places which are incredibly close to me yet... I still haven't visited them.

4. Time to be organised

This is the year I will become much more organised.
I have to!
I have to create my own schedules to study, to sleep and to eat!
I know it sounds pretty creepy but it'll help me to make nr. 2 come true.

5. Make my dreams come true

Hopefully, some of my dreams will come true this year.
Not because of a miracle but because of hard working!

6. Be positive

Do I need to explain this one?
I don't think so.

7. Stay true to myself

This one is the most linked to the post title.
Even if I want to change my lifestyle and the way I see the world, it doesn't mean I'll change completely.
I'll be the same girl in general, just little things will change.

8. Be happy

Like in resolution number 5, being happy doesn't depend on a miracle but on ourselves!
Surround myself with people I love and love me and do my best to accomplish this list will totally make me a happy girl.
I don't need much to be the happy girl I want to be!

Much love,
Raquel

Holidays shopping

23:11:00

Bonsoir mes amours,

just a quick post to tell you some news...

After all the tests season's stress , I finally got to spend time with my family while we were out to do our Christmas shopping.
I do love going out with my family specially when we do it during Christmas season... All the lights, the cold, thousands of people walking down the street, even that special smell that comes along with Christmas! The atmosphere in general is just so fascinating and I completely adore it!

We had to buy some gifts for our family and friends but we also had to get our own wardrobes, let's say... "renovated".

I bought a few new things for myself as I will be travelling this year for Holidays and needed some new stuff.(I always do actually... No matter what time of the year it is. Pfffff!).
We never have too many jeans!

Finally got myself a new (FAUX!) fur shawl/stole!

So  deeply madly truly in love with this jacket!

Worst part of it? I still haven't got my NYE's outfit figured out. I hope I will get it done before leaving... (I hope!)

What about you guys? What do you think of Christmas time?
Have you figured out what are you wearing already? (:

Love,
Raquel

Decisions, decisions, decisions

23:00:00

No matter if they're as simple as "What should I wear today?" or more complex like
"Should we buy a new car?"
decisions are made every single day.
Today, I want to share, with you, a decision that demands a lot of thinking, researching, discussing and planning...

"Which university should I apply to?"

Yes, in a year I'll have to apply to universities and yes... I'm already stressing (a bit) about it.

I enjoy the idea of going to college, being more independent and all the stuff that come along with it. But, at the same time, I'm not sure about anything especially when the question "which university?" pops in my head.

I'm sure that I want to study something to do with fashion!
I love writing and communication so I have been wondering if Fashion Journalism wouldn't be the perfect thing for me.

The question is where should I go to study Fashion journalism?

Big cities like London, Paris, Milan or New York are the right places to go because fashion industry is massive in those places but all of them are expensive cities and university fees...  well let's say they aren't bon marché, as we'd say in French . Same goes to Nordic countries.

Anyway, the only thing I'm sure of is that I want to study and work, even if Mum & Dad don't like the idea, because I don't them to pay for everything!

I feel like screaming now but I know that when the moment to choose will come, I'll be ready. And the truth is that I can't wait for that moment!

What about you? Are you applying or have you already enrolled in a university? How did you make your decision? Let me know!

Love,
Raquel

P.S: please, notice that any pictures posted aren't mine. I googled them!
